G'day all,
I am reading about isolating subwoofers from the floor, using acoustic foam, rubber feet, etc. It is claimed that isolating the sub:
1) Minimises sound transfer through the floor (apartment building)
Sound Isolation Pad For Tv
2) Improves the sound
Sound Isolation Pads And Springs
But much like everything in the audiophile world, there seems to be no genuine proof (but much screaming/yelling/arguing) that isolating a subwoofer helps with either of these things.
I note SVS sell a 'soundpath isolation system' which seems to be a fancy name for 'rubber feet' and as usual online reactions extend from 'immediate orgasmic improvement' to 'LOL what dickhead would waste money on this snake oil?'. Install network printer windows 10. (not to mention they cost $80 here in Australia .. )
So my question is for anybody/everybody on this sub with practical experience with isolating their subwoofer: Maximum age for drivers license in jamaica.
Does isolating a subwoofer 'tighten' the sound as claimed?
Does isolating a subwoofer lessen sound transfer through the floor as claimed?
Sound Isolation Material
Is there an easy/cheap way to adequately isolate a subwoofer that doesn't involve paying $80+ for rubber feet?
